What to expect from our blog
Our blog is not about blindly sharing other sources. It's about what we create and put some thinking into things that got our attention. We are designers, so expect beauty and creativity. We also are a family so, once in a while, expect some domestic happenings. :)
Tudor in the middle of a golden field

The cutest way Babel Tower is falling

My son Tudor speaks Swedish, Romanian and English. He’s five and I’m proud only as circumstances allow me to be for his abilities. Is speaking Swedish at kindergarten because we live in Sweden at the moment, Romanian because we are Romanians and English because he wants to speak Optimus Prime’s language. And Batman’s. And Spiderman’s and Captain America’s. Therefore at home he speaks all languages (Roxana, my wife, is speaking Swedish. For this language I keep practicing an intelligent look.)

We are Babel family.

So one day during last summer, Tudor was playing with Casper. His friend was looking at an insect sitting on some flower’s crown and asked him – in Swedish, of course – what kind of insect is that. Tudor replies:

– Det är en bondar!

That mean “That is a humble-bee”. First part is in Swedish, “bondar” is in Romanian.

So Casper took this legacy very serious, liked the word and repeated it several times during the day. Also Nicklas.

And so on with other words.
